This was the week that most schools wrapped up for the year. School trips were taken, lockers were cleaned out, yearbooks were signed and graduation gowns were tried on. Time for the seniors to move on and make room for the new seniors to rule the school! It is always such a bittersweet time. 🙂 I may not know these students as well as I know my own family, but I cannot help but be happy and excited for them as they embark on the next chapter in their lives. No matter what direction they each head after graduation, life is such an adventure! I hope that they continue to build their sturdy foundations and work towards their hopes and dreams that they all shared with me during their sessions. 🙂 Such an amazing group!
And a special congratulations to my baby brother, Chris, who graduated college this year. 🙂 We are so proud of him! I felt like a mother hen watching him walk down the aisle and accepting his diploma. Devin debonairly handed me tissues at all the appropriate moments. 🙂 He is now on his way to North Carolina where he will meet up with some friends and begin his search for a business-related job. He is the business minded guy in the family that will end up with a nice home on the beach and a cool Golden Retriever name Bond. 🙂 At least I’m hoping for the beach home… 🙂 Even though NC is just a phone call away and a long days drive, it feels so much further when someone you love is there! Good Luck Chris. 🙂 We LOVE you!!
“May the good Lord be with you
Down every road that you roam
And may sunshine and happiness
Surround you when you’re far from home
And may you grow to be proud, dignified and true
And do unto others as you’d have done to you
Be courageous and be brave
And in my heart you’ll always stay
Forever young, forever young”
Congratulations Class of 2012!
