Kendell & Jame’s Wedding, Quechee Inn at Marshland Farm, VT

Psst…I have a little something to share with you. ::Leans in close:: I believe in fate.

The fate that two people are meant to be together forever. The fate that things work out the way they are meant to be. The fate that a wedding day will be perfect regardless of weather, mishaps, or snafoos.

I have faith in fate. 🙂

So when my trusted asst. Kelly and I looked at the weather for Kendell & Jame’s wedding day and saw an 80% chance of rain for the whooooole day, we packed our boots, rain gear, bags, and a change of socks and trusted that fate would work in our favor. And what do you know, it did! Of course I must also recognize that fate is slightly attitude dependent and if someone has a positive outlook and focuses on the good and not the bad, fate always makes things work out well. Thus when the rain was pouring down and guests were running through the downpour, Kendell sat at the window with her bridesmaids and everyone focused on the good. They focused on Jame and Kendell getting married and starting their life together regardless of the soggy weather. They focused on a celebration and love and happiness. They hugged, laughed, cried, and eagerly waited for the ceremony to start. Eagerly waited for Jame to see his beautiful bride coming down the aisle. It did not matter if the aisle was inside or outside, he would only see her.

When the time came, the bridesmaids tucked their bride safe and dry into a car and walked through the rain to the tent. As the car pulled up to the tent and the beautiful bride stepped out, what would you know, but fate stepped in and a glorious sun parted the clouds! A cheer went up and she glowed as her parents walked her down the aisle toward her groom. Towards her fate. Her Jame.

This is exactly how the day went. From pouring rain to a glorious sunshine filled evening from the moment Kendell stepped out of the car. It could not have been more perfect! A perfectly beautiful wedding for a darling couple. Congratulations a million times you two! I am just so pleased to have been a witness to this magnificent day! Still makes me want to stand up and cheer!! xoxo Kathleen

I think it is safe to say that Kendell is a fan of Etsy. A true life FAN! Many of the adorable details such as her “Mrs” hanger came from the awesome world that is Esty. The broach on her bouquet belongs to her grandmother, which made it extra special. And the pearls…well, Jame is a smart man and listens well to his dearest darlings deepest wishes. 😉 A beautiful wedding day gift!

The Valley Flower Company did a beautiful job on the flowers. Kendell’s bouquet was simply elegant. Fit for a bride!

In between rain clouds we were able to sneak outside for portraits. Everyone involved in the bridal party and family portraits was so great running in and out of cover as we dodged storms! I couldn’t have asked for a more willing and cheerful group of people to be working with. 🙂

Gorgeous! Gorgeous! Gorgeous! That’s all everyone kept saying and Kendell…it is so true!!

Jame’s mom helped the guys get their flowers on. 🙂

A handsome groom to compliment a beautiful bride. 🙂

Just before the ceremony, the skies opened up again. Cats and dogs.

And then…Kendell brought out the sun! Can you hear the cheering?

At the beautiful Quechee Inn at Marshland Farm they have a fantastic permanent tent site for events. They did a wonderful job setting things up for an indoor ceremony and then switching over to the reception set-up. Lickity split!

The ultra fabulous bridal party. 🙂

Spring weddings are spectacular!

Cocktail hour on the lawn of The Quechee Inn at Marshland Farm and a few darling details.

Kendell & Jame had a pie a la mode dessert table with a special apple pie made just for them by Kendell’s grandmother. 🙂

Some very touching toasts were shared during the evening by their siblings.

We just loved the red door at The Inn!

Kendell & Jame had a custom made guest book done with images from their engagement session. It was fun throughout the evening to see people looking through it and leaving their own notes of love and support!

A grand celebration!

A beautiful day….

…Turned into a beautiful night. Congratulations Kendell & Jame! Enjoy Greece. 🙂
