Things were buzzing quietly as the final touches were added to floral arrangements and the ceremony site. Ties were adjusted and veils were placed. Dog treats were pocketed for later use and nerves were calmed with a hug. Finally it was time for them to meet at the place where they would become husband and wife. As their ring bearer raced down the stairs toward the sunny hillside ceremony site, bringing laughter and applause from the guests, the groom waited until he saw her at the top of the hill. A smile crept across his face. His bride. His soon-to-be wife. The guests were quieted by her beauty and stood as her father walked her down the aisle. True love and sweet joy. Husband and wife. Best of best friends.
Kathleen & Ben were surrounded on their wedding day by their closest family and friends at Edson Hill Manor in Stowe VT. Edson Hill Manor is a quintessential country inn set on a beautiful secluded hillside. Perfect for an intimate wedding and celebration! 🙂 And, better yet, they welcome two legged AND four legged family members alike! A key component when Kathleen & Ben picked a venue. They really wanted to make sure their dog Dewey (acting ring bearer) would be welcome as well. 🙂
Congratulations Kathleen & Ben! And thank you for allowing me to be with you on your wedding day. After getting to know you both, it really meant a lot that you would allow me to capture some of your most precious memories! I hope you enjoy a compilation of my favorites from your wedding day. 🙂 Be well, Kaht
All brides are beautiful, but Kathleen with her quiet elegance really encompassed the true meaning of beautiful.
Ben’s dad helped with final bow tie adjustments. 🙂
As guests arrived, Kathleen had a secret vantage point. 🙂
After most of the bridal party had processed down the aisle, the music switched to the William Tell Overture and Ben called “DEWEY!” At which point…
Dewey came FLYING across the lawn! It was just adorable. 🙂
I just love this image for all the perfect elements that fell into place so nicely! Smiles on everyones faces, even Dewey’s!
Kathleen’s Uncle Tim married them and performed a rope & knot ceremony, tying them together. 🙂
The adorable “Dewey” cookies were made by Cookies by Christy out of Essex Jct. VT. So sweet!
Wildflower Designs did such a beautiful job on the floral arrangements and bouquets! Pink & fragrant!
Ben and his dad wore bow ties from Beau Ties of Vermont. Very cool!
