Haunted Forest: A Vermont Halloween Tradition

Fall is a favorite time of year for us here in the North-Porter household. Not only are we celebrating our birthdays and anniversary and enjoying the change in seasons, but we are ramping up for one of our all-time favorite events of the year! The Haunted Forest. 🙂

For the past 3 years we have volunteered for The Haunted Forest set-up and shows and each year we have so much fun! Just thinking about it right now has me grinning with excitement. 😀 The show is a combination of Halloween tradition and theatre and takes place at the Catamount Family Center in Williston. Groups are guided through the wooded trail that is lit by over 1,00 carded jack-o-lanterns. Throughout the trail various skits and vignettes are set-up for everyone’s enjoyment! It’s a great way to get into the Halloween spirit. 🙂

Tickets are on-sale now for both show weekends (October 19-20 and October 25-28) and they go fast! If you love some good Halloween fun, then I certainly encourage you to get tickets NOW! Devin and I will be in the woods on the weekend of the 25th. Think you can find us? 🙂 Tickets can be purchased here.

Want to join in the fun? They are still accepting volunteers! You can also volunteer this Saturday to carve some pumpkins! Yes, everything is done by over 400 volunteers each year! Carving will take place at the Catamount Family Center. Follow the signs to the tent!
