Bolton Ponds Resort Wedding: Suzanne & Paul

What can I tell you about Suzanne & Paul besides, well, they are awesome. They are the kind of people that I would sit down and have a beer with, or maybe a glass of wine if we were feeling fancy, and just chat. We would tell funny stories and jokes and then I would mention that ‘HEY! Your initials are S&P. Salt & Pepper. No wonder you are perfect together!’ And they would laugh and sip their drink and then look into one another’s eyes and nod slightly, because yeah, it’s true. They are perfect together. 🙂 And did I mention that they love winter? Especially a nice snowy Vermont winter? And of course the perfect date for the perfect couple that loves winter to get married on is 1.1.11!

The ceremony and reception took place at The Ponds at Bolton Valley Resort: a beautiful location early-spring, mid-summer, late-fall, or in this case, dead of winter. 🙂 The ceremony took place outdoors and thanks to the wonderful staff at The Ponds, who kept the site clear of snow, it was beautiful. And despite the super mild winter temperatures and impending rain, the day was perfect and the party memorable.

Suzanne & Paul…S&P…thank you for picking me. 🙂 I have truly enjoyed getting to know you over the past few months and loved being a part of your big day! I hope you had a wonderful trip and yes, I ordered this fresh foot of snow just. for. you! Enjoy. 🙂 Be well, Kathleen

From flashy blue heels to warm furry boots, the accessories and details were just wonderful! Paula of Bella Tu did a beautiful job on everyone’s hair.

Suzanne helps here sister get ready.

Paul gets a little help from his cousin. 🙂

Just Weddings did a beautiful job with all of the flower arrangements. I loved the inclusion of the pine cone in the boutonnieres!

Suzanne, you are beautiful. End of story.

Suzanne & Paul chose to do a first look so that we could take most of their pictures before their ceremony, which took place at sunset. It is always such a fun moment to observe and capture! Thank you Paul. 🙂

Robert captured this angle from the porch above S&P. *LOVE*

Vermont’s wintry playground!

*LOVE* those boots!

Such joy & love between these two…

The stoles belonged the Suzanne’s grandma Bert and looked beautiful on everyone!

Winter wedding details! I loved the brownie pops: so cute!

June of Snaffle Sweets designed and made the amazing ski mountain cake, complete with a skiing couple at the top! The adorable Save-the-Date was designed by Suzanne’s good friend. So cute!

And speaking of so cute, look at these three!

Time to get married!

During the ceremony the parents and S&P put logs on the fire to signify two families becoming one. It was a wonderful symbol, although the smoke had S&P choked up at times….or at least that is what they blamed it on. 🙂

The Emergency Wedding ring being put to good use by the Snowflake Girl 🙂

Let’s do the bustle!

The party went on into the night celebrating not only the new year, but a new beginning. Congratulations Suzanne & Paul! To see more images from the day, check out their slideshow here.

getting ready for our first anniversary — had to look back on this post. oh, and thanks to you for the inspiriation for one of Paul’s Christmas gifts — salt and pepper shakers in the shapes of an “S” and a “P.” The S is white and the P is black — I tell Paul that’s because I am the angel and he’s the naughtier of the two of us!ReplyCancel
